Nursing Care

A home that values dignity and independence

Kettlewell House provides full nursing care by a devoted care team 24 hours a day. The home is keen to respect residents’ privacy, rights, independence and freedom of choice as far as possible, taking into account their individual ability levels. We operate an "open door" policy whereby relatives and friends are welcome to visit at any time. Residents may choose to spend time in the privacy of their own room or in the lounges where sociable activities are often found to be taking place. Meals are taken in the spacious dining room or residents may choose to have their meal served in their room.

All staff are direct employees

The home has friendly dedicated staff, supervised by a Registered Nurse 24 hours a day. They are all direct employees, thus ensuring continuity of care and facilitating a family atmosphere. There is a comprehensive training programme and a high proportion of carers have achieved NVQ qualifications. All staff undergo specialist training in order to ensure sensitive and appropriate care. There are regular visits from local GPs and district nurses. There is a full programme of activities on offer and hairdressing and chiropody services are readily available.
